* THE COUNSELOR IN TRAINING PROGRAM APPLICATION HAS CLOSED, CAMP APPLICATIONS ARE STILL OPEN * *AGES: For children AGES 5-13 YEARS (ALL CHILDREN MUST BE 5 YEARS OLD AS OF JUNE 29TH and NOT ATTENDING HIGH SCHOOL IN THE FALL).

If your child graduated 8th grade and will be attending high school in the fall consider the Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program. The application will be on RecDesk site page, or call 860-963-6800 ext. 139.

DATES: Camp is weekdays only.
Begins Monday, June 29rd, 2026 / Ends Friday, August 7TH, 2026.
NO CAMP Friday July 3th
TIMES: Camp Day begins 8:30am / Camp Ends at 3:30pm.
PARENT DROP OFF can start at 8:20am (no earlier) at Murphy Park.
Breakfast, Lunch, and snacks throughout the day are free and served every camp day!
Summer School children will still be picked up after lunch time for camp.

FIELD TRIPS & SPECIAL EVENTS: In addition to special guests at camp, field trips will be offered for an additional fee.
CAMP FEES: Payments for Camp must be paid in advance for the week(s) you register for. Weekly cost is $70 for Putnam residents per child (3rd+ child $35), Non Putnam residents $130 per child. Field Trips and extended care may have additional costs.

Please note: Putnam Summer Camp does not offer Paraprofessionals for campers. Campers must be able to function at an appropriate staff to camper ratio.

CAMP CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:
There is no refund for the initial $15 membership. For camp week sign ups we understand that situations occur so please contact the Putnam Recreation Department at william.walsh@putnamct.us, or colleen.dicolella@putnamct.us if the need arises.
